As a long-time leader in life safety, we recognize that having a fully operational and code-compliant fire alarm and fire sprinkler system is our customers’ top concern. To facilitate that, Commerical Fire & Communications (CFC) employs a well-trained workforce and strongly encourages certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET).
NICET was founded in 1961 with a vision of being the “Global leader in providing recognition of qualified technology professionals who reliably apply engineering principles and practices for the benefit and safety of the public.” The NICET certification is achieved through passing rigorous exams, completing a thorough work history evaluation, and having a supervisor verify work experience. Numerous state and local governments rely on NICET certification to measure the quality of a workforce.
At CFC we are proud to currently employee 38 employees with a NICET certification, many with certifications in both fire alarm and sprinkler technologies. We also continue to support and encourage NICET testing through providing practice tests, paid time for certification testing and paying for the testing and certification fees of our team members. We believe promoting this level of excellence helps our employees advance in their careers and provides our customers with the highest quality of service, safety, and protection.
