In a recent American Society of Certified Engineering Technicians (ASCET) event hosted by CFC, leaders in the life safety industry gathered in our training room to learn more about new technologies and advancements in the life safety industry. Over 20 professionals gathered for a pizza dinner and discussion led by David Heinen of AES Corporation. The learning centered on wireless radio mesh networks and their use in fire and security monitoring.
ASCET, formed in 1964, has the mission statement of providing “opportunities for technicians and technologists to magnify their status as vital members of the engineering team.” Relationships with high-quality organizations such as this allow our leaders to stay up to date on the most modern methods and equipment used in our industry. It also allows some of our many NICET trained technicians to achieve their Continuing Professional Development points.
Founded in 1980, CFC is a veteran-owned Life Safety and Security Systems contractor that specializes in the service and installation of fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and electronic security systems.
