The estimation process is quite simple and effective having been refined from our years of experience. All quotes are referred immediately to a qualified salesman. The salesman then takes all available information from the client and will also make a site visit, if deemed necessary.
Our Sales Division maintains a bid log of all work currently being estimated, and if a contractor inquires about a particular job coming up, a quick review of the bid log will direct him to the right salesman without delay.
Sometimes, it is only necessary to put the contractor’s name on the bid list. If plans for the potential project are not in house, the salesman will visit the customer to copy or review them, or visit the plan room where they are to derive all pertinent data required to estimating the job.
The salesman handles all aspects of preparing the quote and provides full written copies to the customer, describing the complete scope of work. It may also include a bill of materials to be used. We understand that speed of response is crucial, and most bids are returned within a 24 hour window.
Completeness and accuracy of data provided by the client is essential in this process. Any other projects with a set bid date will have their quotes submitted prior to close out.
Our salesmen will also design a system if needed, in order to provide a quote. Proposals for budgeting purposes only are also done, at your request.
